A visit to Kew brings something new

Over 100 residents filled up the coaches in January, for a day trip to Kew Gardens. Families and people of all ages braced themselves against the cold for a CityWest Homes organised trip to one of London’s most vibrant treasures.

The event aimed to be a fun way for neighbours from the west area to get to know each other. There was also plenty of sales shopping and sightseeing thrown into the bargain. The main attraction of the trip was the incredible fire garden, which helped to brighten up everyone’s January blues.

Feedback was hugely positive. Residents shared comments such as: “I really enjoyed this trip and so did my children. I particularly liked the fire garden. The children loved it and it was well organised. Thank you to everyone who arranged this trip.”

Marisol Greenslade, anti-social behaviour manager, CityWest Homes, said: “We organised this trip following the huge success of our visit in August 2013. We felt it would be a great event for west area residents to get to know their neighbours better, whilst enjoying the incredible sights of Kew Gardens.”

Well done to the west area teams for organising such a fantastic event.
