An eggcellent time on our estates

On Sunday 20 April, residents across Westminster sprung into the Easter fun.

Over 100 children of all ages descended on Odhams Walk, Soho and Covent Garden. Their mission was to seek out 100 Easter treats, hidden across the area. Streams of yellow ribbon helped them to find the treasure and even a spell of rain couldn’t stop the fun.

Afterwards, the children turned their attention to decorating eggs. Local parents commented that it was a lovely way to spend time with their children and that the day was a cracking success.

Barrow Hill, St John’s Wood, also enjoyed a visit from special guest the Easter bunny. There was plenty of entertainment for children with arts and crafts, Easter bonnet making and an egg hunt. Meanwhile, older residents were able to meet with members of the CityWest Homes and Wates Living Space team, to discuss works taking place in the area. The works include new windows, door entry system, roof replacements and decorations.

Rochelle, a resident from Swift House, brought her daughter Deja to the fun. She said: “The kids loved meeting the Easter bunny and I got to find out more about the works taking place at Swift House. The event was very helpful.”

Thank you to everyone who worked hard to put on these great events, including local resident Alison Oswald, and our resident relations, better homes and estates teams.
