We're proud to have become the 100th signatory to the Chartered Institute of Housing’s (CIH) equality and diversity charter.
Launched in 2012, the CIH equality and diversity charter is a flexible framework that helps organisations identify what outcomes a fair and accessible housing service can deliver.
CityWest Homes has just completed a rollout of bespoke one day training to its staff and resident representatives focusing on equality diversity and the law, working together and sensitive service provision. Our new starters will also benefit from the training as part of their induction.
Angela Ravenscroft, special projects manager at CityWest Homes said: “We are delighted to be the 100th signatory to this important charter. By joining the network we will be able to share learning’s with likeminded organisations to make further improvements.”
Gavin Smart, director of policy and practice at CIH said: “Congratulations to CityWest Homes on becoming the 100th organisation to sign up to our charter for equality and diversity. By doing so they are demonstrating their commitment to the delivery of a fair and accessible housing service which is clearly focused on outcomes for their staff, tenants and communities.”
