For two days every year, hidden gems across the capital open their doors.
We’re counting down to London’s famous architectural event, Open House London, 20 – 21 September. Once again, our Pimlico District Heating Undertaking (PDHU) is taking part. For two days, PDHU will open to the public and allow visitors to see into the depths of the UK’s first combined heat and power network.
Last year, we received over 1,000 visitors and feedback was overwhelmingly positive. Once again, visitors can learn how PDHU is a crucial part of London’s history, providing clean, affordable energy to 3,300 properties for over 60 years. The brave can also scale the 41 metre thermal tower to enjoy breath taking views of London.
Entry is free and PDHU will open from 10am – 5.00pm on both days. Simply arrive on the day, or contact Tessa Eydmann-Peel, corporate communications adviser, on firstname.lastname@example.org or 020 7245 2542 for more information. We recommend that you wear comfortable shoes on the day, and no loose clothing. Please note that the last admission to tours and the tower will be at 4.30pm.
