Love your phone? Protect it and register

Whether it's an iPhone, Samsung, HTC or any other brand, chances are you love your phone enough to want to hold onto it.

So the Met Police have launched 'Love Your Phone', allowing you to register your phone at to help the Police return it to you if it's stolen and recovered.

When you're out and about, don’t make yourself an easy target by showing off the handset - if you’re not making a call, make sure your phone is hidden in inside pockets or a bag. If your phone is stolen call your phone service provider and report the theft as soon as you can. The service provider can stop the phone working so the thief won’t be able to use it.

To report a stolen phone to the Police dial 101. In an emergency dial 999. If you don’t want to talk to the Police you can call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
