Storage sheds on an estate in Queen’s Park recently got a winter makeover. The CityWest Homes handyperson team and contractor Pinnacle PSG teamed up to take part in a ‘leap into action’ event, a day where our people volunteer to spruce up an area of an estate, as part of a revamp project in Queen’s Park.
Residents also chipped in, with Gerry Henegan helping to repaint the shed doors in the Ilbert Street block. Gerry also provided the team with tea and biscuits while they braved the cold weather and rain.
Gerry, who has lived in the block for over 25 years, said: “I think it’s brilliant the shed doors have been renewed. A little touch up really makes a difference and I was glad to muck in.”
In total, eight doors were repainted as part of the project to spruce up different parts of the Queen’s Park estate. Residents can also take part, to help them get involved in improving their local area while strengthening the relationship between the community and CityWest Homes. If you are a resident and would like to take part in a ‘leap into action’ event, please contact your local CityWest Homes estate office.
