Tom was appointed to the CityWest Homes Board in June 2016.
He retired from Barratt Developments PLC where he was group general counsel and company secretary from 2011 to 2016.
Tom is also on the Board of Factories Mutual Insurance and is Chair of its Risk Committee. He is also Trustee of the Land Trust. He began his legal career in 1984 with Simmons and Simmons. After 16 years there, he joined Gallaher Group PLC in 2000, where he was a director of the main trading subsidiary and served on its PLC Board as Group General Counsel and Company Secretary. After it was taken over in 2007, he performed similar roles at United Utilities PLC ( 2007 to 2011) and then Barratt Developments. Tom served as a non-executive director of the Solicitors Regulatory Authority from 2009 to 2014.
Barbara joined the Board in January 2017 as a council nominee.
Barbara is currently a councillor for the Little Venice ward having lived in the area for nearly 30 years. She has served as a director at Kleinwort Benson and Robert Fleming as well as being an Associate of the think tank 2020health.
Barbara is heavily involved with the community including being a Management Committee member of Polska YMCA and a governor of two schools close to where she lives thereby bringing a strong sense of community spirit and experience to the CityWest Homes Board.
Susie joined the CityWest Homes Board in January 2017 as a council nominee.
Susie has served as Lord Mayor of Westminster in 2011 as well as a councillor, currently representing the Lancaster Gate ward having previously worked in Parliament. Susie is currently the Deputy Cabinet Member for Housing and has been a member of the St Mary’s Hospital PPI Forum as well as formerly a Director at CityWest Homes.
Susie brings exceptional customer service experience to the Board and a focus on resident issues.
Angela was appointed to the Board in June 2014. She has served as cabinet member for housing (2004-2008) and has previously sat on the CityWest Homes Board.
A Westminster City Councillor since 2002, Angela is a member for Tachbrook ward. She is chairperson of the Licensing Sub-Committee, the Staff Appeals Panel and the South Area Forum, and she also sits on planning. She is also vice chair on employment issues on the Greater London Provincial Council. Angela runs her own HR consultancy, is a qualified executive coach and a non-executive director of a NHS Foundation Trust for mental health.
Aicha was appointed to the Board in June 2016 and has been a councillor for Church Street ward since May 2016. Aicha has almost 20 years’ experience working with the Local Government Association and is passionate about local issues concerning Westminster residents. She is the first British-Moroccan to hold local office in Westminster having lived in the area since she was a child.
Stuart has been a Westminster resident for over ten years and joined the CityWest Homes board in April 2017. He is a chartered accountant who has held executive director level positions in companies such as Tesco, Housing Finance Company of Kenya, Help the Aged, as well as being involved with others in a non-executive capacity. He was a (voluntary) Board member of Adamstown Housing Association before it merged to become part of Cardiff Community Housing Association and is currently Honorary Treasurer of the Noah's Ark Children's Hospital Charity.
Stuart has acted as a non-executive Director for WAST - the Welsh Ambulance Services NHS Trust - (including chair of the audit committee) and was a member of the National Assembly for Wales Remuneration Board and non-executive director of Intune Group plc.
He has been a member of Brunswick Court & Dalkeith Court Residents Association during a period of major works refurbishment programme. He was one of three residents mandated to work with CityWest Homes to ensure the programme was completed successfully and residents' views taken into account.
Mohammed Abu Fahim
Mohammed, known as Remon, is a CityWest Homes resident, who has lived in Westminster for over 30 years. A Chartered Accountant currently serving as Interim Head of Finance at Telefonica UK, Remon was appointed to the Board in December 2016 and will bring a strong local and customer perspective, as well as his experience in finance and accounting.
Paul joined the CityWest Board in the spring of 2015 and has considerable experience as a finance and IT project management professional. This includes housing experience with Tower Hamlets Homes, Hyde Southbank Homes (as Vice Chair) and Hyde Housing Group.
Eve has been a resident on the Lillington and Longmoore estate for two years, and joined the CityWest Homes board in April 2017. She has over 10 years of work experience in the field of communications, strategy and operations, working on and advising at board level. She holds a first class History degree from Bristol University and a Masters in Latin American Studies from the University of Oxford. A significant portion of her career to date has been working as the Chief of Staff to the European CEO of what is the world’s largest communications firm. In this role she sat on the central operations committee for the firm, which oversaw strategy, finance, HR and technology.
As well as working for the communications agencies Brunswick and Edelman, Eve has also undertaken two long term in house secondments with McKinsey and PayPal. In her time working with PayPal, Eve has seen first-hand the incredible difference to the customer experience that technology can make and the positive impact this is having on businesses’ ability to operate efficiently and ultimately how this translates on their bottom line. She brings an understanding of the rapid evolution of technology and the opportunities and challenges this brings.
Fiona has had a successful strategic marketing career and worked as a consultant in FMCG (fast moving consumer goods), health insurance and service businesses. She has had non-executive director experience with seven years on the board of Cafedirect and a non-executive directorship at British Rowing. Fiona has her own successful business and is very active on digital and social media.
Cha has over 30 years of senior finance experience in a number of sectors, primarily in financial services. This includes time at British Leyland, Abbey National, Toronto Dominion Bank, and Grant Thornton. Cha chairs our finance and audit committee and is also a member of our remuneration employment and diversity committee.
Richard joined Unite in 2005 and is chair of the British Property Federation's cross-sector student accommodation committee. He is a qualified chartered surveyor and fellow of the Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors. Prior to Unite, Richard served for six years in the British Army. He was appointed to the CityWest Homes Board in December 2016.
Jonathan joined CityWest Homes in June 2015 as chief executive officer.
Prior to this he was chief operating officer at Sovereign Housing for five years. He has over 25 years experience of driving service and business improvement in the private sector, having previously worked for Cable & Wireless and BT.
Jonathan is currently vice president at the Institute of Customer Services.
