Jonathan Cowie - Chief Executive
Jonathan joined CityWest Homes in June 2015.
Jonathan has spent the last five years in the housing sector, previously as chief operating officer at Sovereign Housing.Having spent 20 years in the private sector working in customer service with BT, AXA and United Utilities, he is passionate about the role service teams play in any organisation and wants this to have greater emphasis at board level. Jonathan is also vice president of the Institute of Customer Service.
Emma Dexter - Executive Director of Finance
Aled Bath joined CityWest Homes in May 2016
Emma joined CityWest Homes in May 2017.
Emma is a fully qualified finance professional with experience in both business partnering and financial control. Having spent 10 years in an accountancy practice, Emma moved into industry and commerce where she spent 15 years working across financial services, business process outsourcing, IT and telecoms. Emma joins us from BT where she spent eight years working in a number of senior finance roles, including group cash flow and reporting, planning and analysis. Emma is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Certified Accountants.
Jo Bowles - Executive Director of Shared Services
Joining us in March 2008 as human resources manager, Jo is now part of the executive team, with the responsibility of driving our people strategy.
Jo started her career in retailing when she joined Marks and Spencer's management training scheme. Jo worked in stores as a commercial manager for nine years until she joined the lingerie department as training manager. Following this, she made a career change into human resources where she supported various head office business units.
Leaving Marks and Spencer after 18 years, Jo joined Ofsted where she was the head of HR customer operations for three years. Jo has extensive HR experience across a range of disciplines including employee relations, restructuring and change, learning and development and rewards.
Phil Jenkins - Executive Director of Property and Development
Phil joined CityWest Homes in March 2014.
He has 25 years’ real estate, construction and development experience, most recently with the John Lewis Partnership. There he led the early development phase of their ‘Little Waitrose’ convenience format, developed the asset investment strategy for the existing Waitrose store portfolio and planned the future development pipeline for all selling formats.
Phil started his career in private practice construction consultancy at Gleeds before joining the development team at Family Housing Association. He later moved into a series of national and international, commercial client-side roles responsible for property and development at the Co-operative Group, Crabtree & Evelyn and SPAR.
Martin Edgerton - Executive Director of Customer Services
Martin Edgerton joined CityWest Homes in March 2016.
He joined from Tesco where he had undertaken a number of roles, including managing the UK Business Plan, and most recently, the Tesco wide Transformation Plan. Martin started his career as a police officer, later moved into Criminal Justice inspection, and then Healthcare.
Martin has an MSc in Criminal Justice Studies and a BSc in Business and Management Studies.
Andrea Luker - Executive Director of Strategy and Planning
Andrea has worked for CityWest Homes since its creation in 2002 and has nearly 30 years experience in the social housing sector for both councils and RPs.
She started her career in front line housing management, working for Metropolitan and Broomleigh, before moving to Westminster Council to manage the outsourced housing management service. She lead a programme from 2009-2011 to introduce a new service delivery model for CWH and now delivers corporate projects, strategy and governance.
